#WATCH | Delhi | On bank strike, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh Financial Sector In-Charge, Girish Arya says, "Working committee meeting in Ranchi, earlier placed three major demands related to the banking sector — five-day banking, pension revision, and payment of pensioners' insurance premiums by banks. Another issue was related to Performance Linked Incentive (PLI)... The major concern today is the deteriorating work-life balance of bank employees. Despite increased profits in the banking sector, the workforce has reduced over time, creating additional pressure on existing employees. There is a need for more recruitment and regularisation of daily wage workers in banks..."

He also says, "The central trade unions associated with INDI alliance have given directions to the unions working in the banking sector... Since PLI was credited in all banks between the 21st and 24th, a flash strike was expected. However, instead of that, a planned strike was scheduled... The strike was deliberately fixed for September 11. Everyone knows that the BRICS Summit was held in Delhi on September 12 and 13. On September 11, representatives from BRICS countries, along with leaders from various nations and a large trade and business delegation, were arriving. So the question is, who benefits from this? According to us, the INDIA Alliance benefits politically. The intention was to create disruption and send a message that India is not a safe place for investment, thereby creating fear among investors..."
