🏊🚴🏃‍♂️ At 4:30 AM, while most of the city is still asleep, Sandeep Patil begins training for one of the toughest endurance races in the world.

A few hours later, he is back in uniform, carrying out the demanding responsibilities of policing. 👮‍♂️💪

A 2004-batch IPS officer of the Karnataka cadre, he recently completed the Ironman 70.3 Western Sydney — his sixth Ironman finish.

Competing in the M45–49 category, he completed:
🏊 1.9 km swim
🚴 90 km cycling
🏃 21.1 km run

⏱️ Final Time: 7 hours, 16 minutes, and 25 seconds.

There was no grand athletic background behind this journey.

It began with simple curiosity and gradually became a way of life built on discipline and consistency.

Just weeks before the race, he was on election duty in West Bengal.

No perfect routine. No ideal preparation. Yet he showed up and finished strong.

As he says:
“Sometimes motivation takes a backseat. At that time, our mind should replace motivation with discipline and keep moving.” 🔥

From swimming across the English Channel to completing endurance events in Goa, Thailand, Poland, Turkey, Copenhagen, and Australia, his fitness journey reflects extraordinary commitment.

Currently serving as IGP, Northern Range, Belagavi, he is also a law graduate who once practiced at the High Court of Karnataka.

His message is simple:
“Everyone gets 24 hours; it is up to us how effectively we utilize time.” ⏰✨
