@GetCurex Why is it so difficult to get in touch with someone to discuss an issue? There is no phone number to call and when I set up an appointment online, no one calls me.
We have passed the 700" benchmark for this season! We have had 20.7" (52.5 cm) of #snow over the last 24 hours, which brings us to 713.8" (18.13 m) since October 1st.
We are expecting more snow today and then a break before more this weekend/early next week.

@mctidwell@UCB_CSSL@TahoeWeather My mother-in-law lived in a small town in Plumas County and she remembers there being snow on the ground in August that year.
@TheBlacktom@JBaspus@UCB_CSSL@NatBullard Yes. October through September is the timeframe that hydrologists use to measure the water year. What’s harder to understand is why you have to ask the question in that tone, why do you need to be snarky about it?
Butte County DA investigating drone that hindered aerial firefighting efforts during initial start of Dixie Fire; DA indicates drone may have been flown by PG&E or a contractor https://t.co/WbCNI83bHx #DixieFire
It is so terrible to see the destruction happening in our forests right now. It is so dry out there the only way to stop it is to remove the fuel. Please be safe out there #DixieFire
@toddkleinhans This already exists. Union Pacific and others have fire trains to fight fire and proactively protect rail line corridors. There are a number of photos of this in the last few weeks
@oh_sellke@tech_chi No, I’m bummed about it. We are leaving for a 2-week trailer/road trip for our 20th Anniversary the day the show ends. I hope to be there next year while it’s still in your town!
@obseSedwithjess @melaniemperron Would it be shorter than the lakes and rivers next to the fire? Did you also know that aircraft have been grounded since Friday because of heavy smoke? Ground and hand crews with water tenders are the main resource for fighting the forward line of the fire
@obseSedwithjess @melaniemperron Also, where is this supply of sand going to be sourced from in a remote mountainous area? How much time and fuel would be wasted traveling to an area where there may be sand?
@obseSedwithjess @melaniemperron My father-in-law worked for the forest service for 35 years, and my brother-in-law was a firefighter for 19 years. I think I have a fairly good grasp of fire suppression.
