Intent doesn't matter the straight fact is he launched himself in the air studs showing and connected with the back of a players ankle/lower leg.

Haaland was fouled and then Haaland fouled Szob to stop him clearing the ball and so as Szob could of cleared it the goal couldn't of been given so it went back to Szob fouling Haaland and Szob was sent off.
