While I think it's important to call out misinformation and mistreatment in the art space I also think there are a lot of people just acting in bad faith when looking for stuff to pick at :x I wanna urge people to not spend energy getting swept up in that, vs other issues
@uguubear the concept of asking for permission is entirely foreign to a lot of people for some reason 💀 Personally I think like, tiktok trends where you get unexpected strangers' reactions to things has normalized this to ppl and made them more thoughtless
RE: twitchcon irl streamer situation discourse, while it's true that at the con you might be recorded in the public space, I think what that was SUPPOSED to mean is "you might incidentally show up in the bg" and not "you're free game to get interviewed/roped in without asking"
I know there are many angles and stuff to this, but I've vended at cons before where someone just walked up and aimed a camera at me live and treated it like I agreed to be part of an interview; I don't think impromptu roping in of strangers for a stream is a good look.
I know some people argue "you should expect that people are streaming at twitchcon" but that shouldn't mean that everyone present immediately becomes free game to be pieces in your content creation™️
I feel like it's important I let you all know that I showed my friend who doesn't watch vtubers a picture of a grem and she pointed and said "oh I love that corndog"
pretty much repeating this but in the current social climate it's important to support other artists (all kinds) like never before ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ there's plenty of causes to fight that are not fellow creators trying to survive
【official #holoEN x chirofish collab】
I had the amazing opportunity to work on this collaboration and I'm super excited about all the designs! We put sooooo much work and love into each of them; which pieces are you picking up?
