Incredible short film. Just 10 mins long. Really beautiful style. It's like a beautiful pulp novel cover come to life. Like the Soviet equivalent of an 80s Madhouse OVA. A great sci-fi fable. Watch it now!

Okay but actually don't though. Because it can spread to non data center areas and can be very hard to get rid of. Find a very aggressive and hard to kill plant native to your area and plant those near the data centers instead.
halo is so obviously a game about being polynesian when the europeans showed up
you’re a peoples with small, slow ships and dotted colonies in your local area and a horde of huge, distinct but all alien creatures with a shared religion in ships bigger than your cities shows up
There's an art movement I find under-exploited in movies and video games: Formicat-punk, or Giscard-punk. (Giscard d'Estaing was a French president in the late 1970s)
This retro-futuristic, typically French style fascinates me. I'd love to work on a universe like that.
2/2 In Wahgi Valley, the birthplace 8k years ago of New Guinea agriculture, locals had been introduced to 'the Fantom' by GIs during WW2. They began to paint him onto their shields. As an immortal being, the Fantom could represent the spirits of ancestors & their power.
1/2 In the 1970s some Papua New Guinea papers & periodicals began to run Phantom comic strips translated into Tok Pisin, the national Creole. It was a change for town-dwelling lowlanders to discover a character who had already taken on a sacred aura in the Highlands.
The word "hamburger" comes from "hamburg steak" ie cooking meat that has been ground and shaped into a patty, not the bun or the other toppings. A "chicken burger" would thus mean a patty of ground chicken, not a slab of chicken that has been fried
New today: Peter Thiel's secret society of illuminati had a website so insecure it exposed his entire membership list. And it's... interesting. His Palatantir folks, sure. Leonard Leo. The president of Stanford. Ezra Klein. And some D politicians who really shouldn't be there. 1/
In Bill the galactic hero they replace most curses with "bowb" ie "what the bowb is this?" Or "SNABU Situation Normal All Bowbed Up" amd I giggle at it every time
Absolute Wonder Woman is a great read but it runs into some pacing issues and the prose can get a little clunky at times (comictwt mutuals leave the room) if Absolute Zatanna was real I'd let her kill me
DS9 unintentionally did the funniest thing in the world with Rom's accidental character development where instead of a kind man slowly driven to murder due to his brother's ultracapitalism, Rom starts out cutthroat, realizes that isn't working, and just chills out and enjoys life
This is the 100% logical outcome of the “warrior cop” mentality in which even the impression of impending physical contact by a civilian being, no matter in whatever everyday or casual way, is taken as justification for lethal force
I think it's relatively fine to wear Splittertarnmuster as just a normal guy (albeit maybe with a raised eyebrow). But if you're a federal agent operating directly under the executive branch then you should probably consider that Wehrmacht camo is bad optics
