@NBTiller This is a misleading and disingenuous tweet. Obviously ultra duration *events* are an extreme stressor and should only happen ~1x/yr. But people will easily misinterpret this to mean there is a U shaped benefit for *training* duration
@wordlewizard69@StatisticUrban Ehh, I’ve lived in both and Portland’s economy pales in comparison to Minneapolis. Add in subpar schools, high CoL, and open air drug use and crime (and no I’m not some Fox News watching republican) and Portland clearly doesn’t make the cut. It is beautiful though

@BrianSuttererMD Spot on. The total aerobic training volume of youth swimmers is far greater. The mechanical load of gymnasts, dancers, baseball pitchers is too. Many Americans just see running as punishment, and react accordingly.
