The @USDOT and @USDOTFHWA TIFIA loan program helps small communities obtain the competitive financing they need to complete major infrastructure projects. In Mount Vernon, this means the MVLC moves forward even when other communities have to pause new construction!

1. At @USDOT, 18K+ employees would be furloughed without pay
2. Another 12K skilled but stretched air traffic controllers would work without pay to keep travelers safe

Last week, I caught up with #MountVernon Mayor Peter Donovan for an update on how a recently awarded Bipartisan Infrastructure Law grant will help #MVLC become the largest publicly accessible EV charging hub in the United States.
