Nolan’s adaptation of Homer looks all wrong. Old ships and wooden horses and mythical creatures. Homer works at a power plant and eats donuts. He’s friends with Lenny and Carl. I guess we’ll see. 🤷♂️

This was a fun idea I had years ago, to make a version of BACK TO THE FUTURE where the 1950s scenes shift to 4:3 in black and white. Never did more than just a test of the transition cut.
when jack sparrow unrolls the navigational charts, ready to sail off into the horizon on his next adventure, while ‘drink up me hearties yo ho’ kicks in??? yeah to me that’s peak cinema
wish it found an audience in theaters, but a horror movie this patient, thought-provoking, morally complex, and thematically rich making its way through the studio system is such a massive win in and of itself. a gift that keeps on giving and will only be more beloved with time.
