@BriannaB_educ Yeah!! Parent put limits to what their kids do offline for their safety, BUT they should also remember that social media can be as dangerous. Mostly with apps showing ur location to people you befriend( SnapMap ect..)

Children’ social media use should be monitored by their parents. We can’t only blame creators and influencers for sharing what some consider inappropriate content.

I believe Frozen was one of the first movies in which the princess story wasn’t about her love interest with a man but rather her relationship with her sister. Disney made some progress!

Online platforms have a downside because they also give a voice to individuals who have nothing but hateful comments to share.

First takeaway message of the movie Mickey Mouse Monopoly: a shrinking number of large cooperations now own the world’s major media outlets which gives them control over narratives and information people have access to.

I believe Disney being a massive profit-driven company definitely plays a role into the kind of stories they tell. They have to please their audience.

When I was younger most Disney movies and shows in general didn’t portray people of color. Now thankfully that has changed. But then I see people complain about the new movie of the little mermaid because the actress is black.

The new Disney movie Encanto was lovely and it represented Colombian culture really well. My little cousins felt really happy for being able to relate to a Disney movie.
