📢3 weeks countdown until IC3 2023 #Blockchain camp! We are bringing it to #NYC for the first time at Cornell Tech campus! This is a fantastic opportunity to learn blockchain developments and to network with other blockchain enthusiasts. Stay tuned as more details coming up!
Thrilled to join @Mysten_Labs as a research intern this summer, mentored by @kostascrypto! Looking forward to an amazing and productive journey exploring blockchain and web3 technologies with the best team!
The next iteration of PROF blog post is out. We believe PROF is a simple, promising way to combat harmful MEV and get fair ordering (for your favorite notion of "fair"). We're exploring ways to make it happen. @KushalBabel@iseriohn42@_mahimna

MEV exploitation may seem inevitable in a world of profit-maximizing validators—with resulting harm to users. We believe it's not. We propose a different way in a new system called PROF. @KushalBabel@iseriohn42@_mahimna

Super excited to work in this innovative & inclusive community!Blockchains reshape the landscape of trust. My research reflects how we can design trustworthy & practical systems utilizing blockchains. E.g., solvency proofs for banks/exchanges, verifiable reputation (coming soon).
Our new #MeetIC3 weekly series introduces valuable IC3 community members who advance blockchain technology.
Meet Yan Ji @iseriohn42 from China, a CS PhD student at Cornell Tech advised by Prof. @AriJuels. Learn more about her research and publications➡️ https://t.co/ktzA85h6iG
While presenting proof of liabilities at #CSAW22, I was asked “what’s the incentive for CEXes to implement GPoL”. I guess one of the lessons to be learned after FTX, is that it’s urgent for these centralized service providers to EARN users’ trust.
@rel_Aztec This CCS paper https://t.co/OtWmrDuMKN along with the FC workshop solvency attacks paper https://t.co/u0sgZosi02
are now in the top10 security research innovation finalists in CSAW 22 competition🤞(winner pending)
A recording of the IC3 NFT Gallery Opening is now live, for those who missed the event in NYC. Talks on technical, legal, and cultural facets of NFTs today and in the future. Visit https://t.co/I0aTnxSqzR. @wattenberg@viegasf@KushalBabel@iseriohn42@phildaian@grimmelm
Scalper bots regularly spoil NFT drops. Yan Ji @iseriohn42 to give a talk on CanDID NFT (https://t.co/btSU84qAt7)—an anti-bot NFT technology that leverages decentralized identity via oracles. (At IC3 NFT gallery opening on 3 Oct.)
As IC3’s NFT gallery opening at Cornell Tech approaches (3 Oct.), it’s worth highlighting this outstanding blog post on NFT copyright issues by some of the speakers. @initc3org@grimmelm@iseriohn42@relyt29: https://t.co/XwdAqZ6VnY.
Over the next couple weeks we joined forces to make our specs compatible and published EIP-5554!

So my take away (not necessarily in her talk).
A lot of the hacks/incompetent of cryptocurrency service providers is not new. We have already lived through that era over 100 years ago.
The community reached a steady state to protect funds. Crypto will follow the same path.
🚨🚨NEW RESEARCH🚨🚨
In “Copyright Vulnerabilities in NFTs”, @iseriohn42, @relyt29 and I describe some of the many, many ways in which NFT projects have gotten their copyright licensing wrong. 1/

NFTs have boomed in the past year — and so has the # of bots that make this revenue model less valuable.
A new tool by Cornell Tech researchers aims to enforce a one-NFT-per-person policy.

How can cryptographic techniques allow financial institutions to conduct decentralized audits while preserving privacy? At this week's DLI seminar, @cornell_tech PhD student Yan Ji presents her work on cryptographic proof of liabilies. Read more: https://t.co/be3MnVH2up
Our Rust sparse Merkle tree accumulator is now public. Applications: solvency proofs in #blockchain wallets (Maxwell, DAPOL, treeified Provisions) & HashWires range proofs. It supports batch inclusion proofs, random sampling & hiding leaf-population. https://t.co/ZhYi0ZO4vv
Please register to join us for an IC3 webinar showcasing attacks on Bitcoin and the Lightning Network with presentations by @iseriohn42, @GeorgeKappos, @Haaroony.
