Thanks to @IFAD’s steadfast support, Sierra Leone has made bold strides in transforming rural livelihoods. Together, we are rolling out new transformative programs.
I urge global partners to boost investments, unlock innovative financing, and prioritize rural communities —because the first mile is where food security is won or lost.

Today, I held a meeting with Dr. Khaled Kaim, the Special Envoy and Senior Political Advisor to the President of the Libya Presidential Council.
Our conversation explored various facets of our bilateral relationship, and I took the opportunity to extend my warm greetings to my colleague, His Excellency Mohamed al-Menfi.
Ahead of the Mission 300 Africa Energy Summit in Dar es Salaam, I held productive discussions with Jean Van Wetter, CEO of Enabel, @Enabel_Belgium, Belgium’s Federal Government Agency and William Brent from Husk Power Systems, @TeamHuskPower, a key player in Africa's energy sector.
Both representatives conveyed their excitement about the potential for collaboration with Sierra Leone to enhance our energy sector.

This morning, I had an exciting meeting with the Executive Director of the International Trade Centre, @CokeHamilton, at State House. I welcome the opening of the International Trade Centre's country office.
My administration looks forward to establishing a strong partnership with the International Trade Centre to promote engagement in key trade sectors, aiming for optimized outcomes that will benefit Sierra Leone.
Over the years, His Majesty the King has been a steadfast friend and supporter of Sierra Leone, thanks to the initiatives of the King’s Trust and the King’s Foundation.
As I wrap up my visit to Scotland, at his gracious invitation, we engaged in a fruitful dialogue about our mutual values and the enhancement of the partnership between the King’s Foundation and Sierra Leone.
During the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in 2022, we adopted a declaration on Sustainable Urbanization to address the challenges posed by rapid urbanization and climate change within the Commonwealth.
In line with this declaration, Fatima and I had the honor of participating in a roundtable discussion focused on sustainable urban development, drawing upon insights from the work of the King’s Foundation.
Sierra Leone has benefitted greatly from the King’s Foundation over the years, and I look forward to strengthening the partnership between Sierra Leone and the King’s Foundation.
Today, I welcomed Lieutenant General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan Abdelrahman Al-Burhan, President of the Transitional Sovereign Council of the Republic of Sudan.
We engaged in meaningful discussions focused on peace and security in Sudan and across the wider region.
As a proud member of both the UN Security Council and the African Union Peace and Security Council, Sierra Leone is steadfastly dedicated to achieving a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict in Sudan.
