Last month, an Allahabad HC judge Justice Pankaj Bhatia got severely criticized by the SC for granting bail in a dowry death case.

The SC described his order in favor of the accused as “shocking and disappointing.”
After the SC’s remarks, Justice Bhatia asked to be removed from hearing dowry death cases.
