The conference brought together researchers, practitioners, and other stakeholders to share the latest research, best practices, and innovations in the field of adolescent and youth health and development. The PI served as a reviewer and chair for an abstract assessment session.
The PI was invited by UNICEF to participate at the 3rd Nigeria Conference on Adolescent and Youth Health and Development tagged EKO 2023 organized by SAYPHIN.
The conference took place in Manly Pacific Hotel, Sydney, Australia between the 18th and 20th September 2023.
It created a platform for rich exchange of ideas and an opportunity to network with colleagues working on sexual and reproductive health and rights.
The PI participated at the Australasian Sexual and Reproductive Health Conference being hosted by the Australasian Society for HIV, Viral Hepatitis and Sexual Health Medicine in collaboration with the Australasian Sexual and Reproductive Health Alliance.
The PI was invited to participate at the Australian Psychosis Conference which took place at the Novotel Sydney Hotel, Brighton Beach, Sydney, Australia themed ‘Be the bridge’.
The third dissemination meeting for the CARTA shine project took place on the 24th of August 2023 at the Caritas Inn, Lagos.
In attendance were representatives from the Directorate of student affairs, the Student Association Representatives, Lecturers and researchers.
The discussions revolved around some of the results of the study. Participants reiterated their concerns around dress codes and the views were still divergent.
We resolved on the need for constant evaluation and reflections of the rules around dressing within our universities.
The second dissemination meeting for the CARTA shine project took place on the on the 21st of August 2023 at the UI Hotels, Ibadan.
Various representatives including researchers, members of the anti-sexual harassment committee, and others were present.
Discussions bordered around the results of the study as presented and the attendees expressed the desire to take some of the recommendations on board.
The research team pledged to be available to collaborate on further institutional planning on response and prevention of SH.
