Israel is Winning. Winning or losing in a war is measured by the ability of both sides to achieve their political goals for the war. Israel's strategic goals after being attacked on October 7 were 1) bring hostages home 2) destroy Hamas (removed from power, military dismantled, unable to function or reconstitute) 3) secure their borders.

Israel
1) Israel has brought over half of their 240 hostages home.
2) Israel has secured the border between Israel and Gaza.
3) Israel has dismantled Hamas's vast military capability (22 of 24 Hamas battalions no longer able to conduct organized operations, rocket supply & production capability destroyed, major weapon supplies destroyed/removed, large amounts of strategic (command and control) and operational (smuggling, mobility across Gaza) and tactical tunnels destroyed,

Israel is close to bringing Hamas's military to a completely disorganized group solely reliant on small guerrilla operations with minimal weapon supplies.

Israel has pushed Hamas's ability to govern Gaza to shadows.

Yes, Israel has to fully remove Hamas as the governing power of Gaza and its ability to reconstitute both political or military power by replacing Hamas with another power and security force (either IDF or someone else). As well as a list of other steps to prevent Hamas resurgence, after they are removed from power.

Hamas
Goals of the war: Stay in power in Gaza and survive. Achieve a strategic victory in political power by surviving Israel's counterattack after October 7th.

Hamas has not succeeded in getting the international community to force Israel to stop. Hamas is losing.

War is not measured in ideologies, sentiments, or in effects.

The war is not over!
