FZ1073’s descent was extreme, but the tracking data does NOT show 700+ kt airspeed or Mach 1.1. The recorded peak was about 598 kt ground speed (688 mph) near 16,850 ft, up from roughly 387 kt GS ~50 sec earlier.
Ground speed ≠ IAS, TAS or Mach, so 598 kt GS cannot prove it went supersonic. The Mach 1.1 and ±6–8 G claims come from assumed 2–4 sec pitch/pullout times and effectively zero-drag calculations.
Real aerodynamic drag dissipates enormous energy at high speed, and VMO/MMO are operating limits—not instantaneous breakup speeds. ADS-B also does not give the pitch, AoA or G-load needed to prove those extreme loads.
It was a massive overspeed/upset, but the public data do not show that physics required the 737 to break apart. The FDR will tell us the actual airspeed, Mach and G-loading.
@Real_RobN Nothing ever happens. Why even investigate any more? We already know the government is corrupt. It's a waiting game to watch it implode on itself .
