ओडिशा के बालासोर में ट्रेन हादसे में 233 लोगों की मौत हुई, जबकि 900 से ज्यादा यात्री घायल हुए हैं। ट्रेन हादसा इतना भयानक था कि कोरोमंडल एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन के कई कोच तबाह हो गए। एक इंजन तो मालगाड़ी के रैक पर ही चढ़ गया। टक्कर में खिड़कियों के कांच टूट गए और करीब 50 लोग बाहर जाकर गिरे।
