@nhannahjones Teachers make all the difference. My scholarship kid struggled at a small liberal arts college in a city having grown up in a remote, rural area. His RA, his advisor, his professors and even the dean spoke to me on the phone assuring me they had his back, and they did!

@WillieETCarver I've met many new 20 somethings who are LGBTQ+ attending services at my synagogue. When I ask, "What brings you here?" each has said they're tired of being told they're going to hell. Being a Jewish mother, I've hugged each and said, "You are welcome to stay."
