This video indeed reflects the current waves of argument on most social media platforms due to the statement of the First Lady on what 50-150k can add to businesses managed by petty traders/producers.

I believe her statement is not for a graduate or someone gainfully employed. It is for those people who cannot access finance through the banking system due to financial inclusion reasons as most are not credit worthy to be financed due to the basic requirements.

Is it now wrong to give grant to these segments of the economy?

We are consume Akara, kulikuli, roasted corn etc. In reality, do they need millions to kickstart those forms of businesses.

If we all agree that the poverty level is high, we must also agree that it is through initiative like grant to the MSME to their menace can be reduced drastically.

On the other hand, this is also political season, so politicians and people with alternative opinions will probably want to capitalize on.

In all, we all know what we are doing.

In my recent tweet as seen below, one of the emphasis i made was that we have some silent private sector companies that are INVESTING in the Nigeria Agricultural sector but you won’t see most online but they are getting Government support to establish industries and providing jobs for thousands of Nigeria which is as a result of the policies and economic direction of President Tinubu..

I don’t need to convince you too much that the economy is working if you still can’t see it, think and strategize how you can benefit as an individual or organization..
