Dear Prime Minister Ambani,

Please accept my humble apologies for not realizing that you are the real boss of India.

Naturally, you would prefer to maintain your monopolistic exploitation of the great people of India, but would you nonetheless consider allowing Starlink to compete?

There are many areas of India, as there are in all countries, with no Internet access, which denies children the opportunity for education and for small businesses the opportunity to sell their goods to a global market. Starlink would change their lives for the better.

Calling Ambani "Prime Minister" isn't disrespecting Indians. It's disrespecting the idea that two telecom giants are the same thing as the country.

You don't take orders from outsiders. Fine. Then why are rural kids waiting on Jio and Airtel for permission to get online? Starlink is licensed in 165 countries. India has spent five years on paperwork while those two sit on most of the market. That's not sovereignty. That's a chokehold with a flag on it.

And Brazil? Different fight. There a judge tried to shut a platform down. Here a billionaire would rather not compete. Don't confuse a monopoly with the motherland. Indians aren't Ambani's customers by birthright.
