The “blaccent” discourse is always annoying as a Black American cuz u have a whole heap of mfs who do NOT have the ear for AAVE (bc they are non-native speakers) tryna tell US who sounds authentic.
“She sounds like that cuz she from NY!”
Meanwhile no one in NY sounds like that
🗣️📢 I GREW UP IN THIS HOUSE. I BLEW UP IN THIS HOUSE. I'M TOO UP IN THIS HOUSE. DON'T GAF ABOUT MY HOUSE? THEN GTF UP OUT MY HOUSE! GTF UP OUT MY HOUSE! GTF UP OUT MY HOUSE!
Cousins, there’s a viral vid on TT where a little Black girl just learned that she’s African-American. She was so excited to tell her teacher. It’s the cutest thing. 🥰 You can literally hear in her voice how amazed she is that she’s AA 😂☺️ I feel her so bad on that 🤎✊🏾💫✨
It’s like always being interrupted by someone you aren’t talking to who constantly eavesdrops on your conversations.
The hyper-visibility and over consumption of our culture creates a sort of delusion of belonging for a lot of folks. It’s creepy affffffff
This is one of the myriad of annoyances that comes along with having a hyper-visible, overly consumed culture. When it’s clear that you’re having an intracommunal conversation non-community members feel 100% comfortable and justified inserting themselves into it.
Of course your parents didn’t use the n-word. You and them aren’t a part of the culture or ethnicity that reclaimed the slur. Stating the obvious for what exactly? Ppl need to learn how to stay out of conversations that don’t apply to them.
Erika Alexander's performance in 'Living Single' was genuinely nothing short of a class act man,she had me glued every time😂
there was this one episode where she was trying to get her lost sex tape back which had me DYING
"you know how i feel about civic duty"😭😭
white ppl are genuinely so annoying cause youll tell them something is racist or microaggressive and theyll just be like "whaaaa but i didnt know 🥺🥺🥺" then continue to pout just to go and do said racist shit all over again
Finna braid my hair. May this tweet carry me through all the frustration and tiredness to get me through to the other side, cuz the other side be lookin like this…
Negro Solstice was only ever about Black people, specifically Black Americans. Don’t try to rewrite history to include other ppl who ain’t had nothin to do with it.
