This is a landmark move for regional security. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia already signed the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement in Sept 2025 with an Article 5-style clause — “an armed attack against one is an attack against all.” Turkey is now in advanced talks to formally join, which would bring together Saudi financial strength, Pakistan’s nuclear capability and manpower, and Turkey’s military experience and defense industry under one collective defense framework. It signals a new deterrence bloc across the Middle East, South Asia and beyond.

Exactly — we’ll show up regardless. Voting isn’t about waiting for perfect timing, it’s about doing our part. The real question is on IEBC: are they logistically ready, are materials in place, and can they guarantee a free, fair process if it happens tomorrow? Kenyans are ready to vote. Now IEBC needs to prove they’re ready too.
