@JailTraitorsNOW @Acyn Ironically, this quote can't be definitively attributed to Hitler. It's generally associated with him, and it's clearly an idea he believed, but it's not clear that this is an attributable quote.
Which sort of reinforces the idea behind the quote itself.
@SYSKPodcast I'm generally careful about which topics I listen to in earshot of them, but it's a bit surprising when the very first thing I hear is "Are you a personal pleasure pro?" I'm quoting it verbatim. I know it's not a kids show, but you do try to be family friendly.
@SYSKPodcast, could you verify your settings for your ads? The last couple weeks every single episode has had at least one ad specifically about sexual themes (toys or "doing it" with your partner). I'm no prude, but I have kids!
@RI7164S@AngStahl1@laurenboebert That’s funny, because as a Christian I believe Christ is coming back. It may be soon or it may not be. I just don’t presume to predict when, especially when Christ says no one, not even He, knows.
@AngStahl1@RI7164S@laurenboebert The early Christians said the same thing too. Like, they thought Jesus was coming back soon less than 100 years after He left. What you’re saying has been said countless times throughout history.
So I stand by what I said.
@RI7164S@laurenboebert “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.”
Do you know something Jesus doesn’t know? You seem to be claiming that you know when He’s returning, even though Jesus claims you can’t.
@mtamaryland Saw bus 67 decide red lights don’t apply to them this morning. Thought you’d want to know! I’m fairly certain this isn’t part of their training.
@lavern_spicer …do you know what a pronoun is? Like, did you pay attention in first grade when you learned about them? With all your “there are no pronouns in X” posts, I’m beginning to suspect you lack even the most basic grasp of grammar.
@furmie09 ‘Cause money. And somehow some people have it in their heads that it’s good tough love to make people struggle so that they’re motivated to get off their lazy behind and improve their skills and get a better job. I don’t believe that’s how humans work.
@furmie09 FDR MW 1938, when MW was established: “Without question, [the minimum wage] starts us toward a better standard of living and increases purchasing power to buy the products of farm and factory.”
@furmie09 FDR MW 1933 ctd: “By ‘business’ I mean the whole of commerce as well as the whole of industry; by workers I mean all workers, the white collar class as well as the men in overalls; and by living wages I mean more than a bare subsistence level — I mean the wages of decent living,”
@furmie09 FDR on minimum wage in 1933: “no business which depends for existence on paying less than living wages to its workers has any right to continue in this country.”
@furmie09 I’m here! Sorry I don’t have admin rights, though, and your IT would probably frown on me trying to elevate your user privileges. Maybe I should just start driving? 🤣
@LauraRbnsn This is like a friend of mine who writes “G-d” instead of “God”. It comes from “Yahweh” having no vowels in ancient Hebrew. But they didn’t have vowels at all. Her heart is in the right place, but it makes me cringe.
