While abortion remains legal in Minnesota, Minnesota's neighboring states are expected to severely restrict reproductive freedom.
That’s why I signed an Executive Order to help protect people seeking or providing abortions in Minnesota from legal repercussions in other states.
I’m curious: which companies now paying for abortions for their employees also gave money to senators who voted to confirm the justices who gutted this constitutional right?
As I said after the Alito leak, Dems should put a bill on the floor codifying the right to birth control, and in light of Thomas’ concurrence, marriage equality and privacy.
Today, the Supreme Court not only reversed nearly 50 years of precedent, it relegated the most intensely personal decision someone can make to the whims of politicians and ideologues—attacking the essential freedoms of millions of Americans.
I’m old enough to remember when Dems had a filibuster proof majority in the Senate and had the House and the White House and didn’t protect Roe or pass gun reform. Voting alone isn’t enough- we need better Democrats.
BREAKING: The Supreme Court has taken away our right to abortion and overturned Roe v. Wade, opening the floodgates for states across the country to ban abortion.
The court has failed us all — but this is far from over. ⤵
Let’s be 100% clear. If Republicans win control of the House, Senate and White House two years from now, they will pass a national abortion ban. And no matter where you live, no matter how pro-choice your state is, women and doctors will be locked up for practicing health care.
It's going to get worse - a lot worse. SOON it will be made illegal to cross state lines to get an abortion. There is already a bill in play S.109 - Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act. Crazy I know, but it's reality. https://t.co/pRPPPMxtJy

"For that reason, in future cases, we should reconsider all of this Court's substantive due process precedents, including Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell," he wrote. "Because any substantive due process decision is 'demonstrably erroneous.'"
Elections have consequences. Next on the chopping block is the birth control and legalization of same-sex marriage.

The Supreme Court Has Overturned ‘Roe v. Wade.’
“Roe was egregiously wrong from the start,” Justice Samuel Alito wrote in the majority opinion, which also overruled the 1992 Supreme Court decision Planned Parenthood v. Casey.
Thus, the constitutional right to abortion upheld for nearly a half-century no longer exists.
In his concurrent opinion, Justice Thomas said the legal rationale for Friday's decision could be applied to overturn other major cases, including those that legalized gay marriage.
The Supreme Court has stripped women of their liberty and let red states replace it with mandated birth.
This is an attack on American freedom.
CA, OR and WA are creating the West Coast offensive. A road map for other states to stand up for women.
Time to fight like hell.
