To celebrate national science week, we are shining a light on the brilliant climate scientists we collaborate with on our Changing Climates program, enlightening us about the importance of climate science communication! 🧑🔬 🌳 🌦️ @SafariPenguin @sarahinscience#NationalScienceWeek
Scientists need safe spaces to understand and process "climate emotions".
Group therapy helps people find the strength and resilience to continue their important work, without harming their health.

(1/2)To the #climate folks - you might know my work from @ITHYF_Letters - we share scientists feelings about climate change. Well, we have something new in the works. A children's book focussed on sustainability. We are seeking small scale funding, can anyone recommend funders?
Vale Professor Will Steffen - a brilliant researcher and passionate communicator.
Will contributed to ITHYF in 2014 and again in 2020.

Any of our Australian based followers want to see an amazing, emotive performance and exhibition? Why not head along to the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne from next week: https://t.co/BSvcLgVaNv
@KetanJ0@guardian Yes, but I still think that this is meaningful.
Do you know @ITHYF_Letters project?
Scientists express their feelings there - not peer reviewed science and it is often quite direct and strong language, more alarming than official tone of reports.
For instance @sarahinscience
Today on #InternationalMotherEarthDay we are releasing the latest edition of The Blue Dot titled Humans and Nature: Exploring Relationships. Explore

I wrote a piece on, you guessed it, climate change and feelings for the latest issue of @UNESCO_MGIEP "blue dot". Check it out here: https://t.co/IBed1kvP6h
It was a pleasure to work with @nealhaddaway and @NicBadullovich on this one. 7 years after the start of @ITHYF_Letters - I think this is a nice end to the chapter.
Ok. I read all 129 pages of the pamphlet. Its not worth the paper I didn’t print it on.
I understand technology damn well. This isn’t a “technology driven approach”. It’s inaction, misdirection & avoiding choices.
I’m going to bed. This is just ridiculously embarrassing.
It's been six long years since ITHYF had anything on during National Science Week - but @mcmichaelanna and @DevenishLouise have something in store for the Botanic Gardens in Victoria. Get along: https://t.co/LV1RakhARj
1/3 So, a few years ago I had the idea of turning ITHYF into a coffee table book.
Sort of @PaulHawken Drawdown meets @LettersOfNote by @ShaunUsher - launch a kick-started to create a carbon neutral paperback that could have a buy one pay one forward scheme...
2/2 .... where for every book you purchased you could send another anywhere in the world. It could be used as an educational aid, a protest tool.... imagine a president or prime minister getting a thousand on their doorstep.
1 year ago, Is This How You Feel Letters @geologicalJo@BAS_News "last winter I worked near Thwaites [glacier] myself. Back in 2006, open water wasn’t visible from field sites, but this time, the sea was clearly visible...was painful to see...I hope..." 🧊https://t.co/uOQAHnYGYR
@ClimateHuman I think @ITHYF_Letters has a lot of content from scientists showing many are seriously concerned!
Also - please check @panikowac ("It's time to panic") - movie about prof Szymon Malinowski from Poland.
