@Kappaemme1926 Nah dude, really! Take this the right way but I believe this is the first product you've made that actually made me reach for the wallet. I think you're on to something here
Any game devs here that can give me some pointers for monetisation?
I've made a simple online race game but need a way to cover the server costs (and maybe give me a small kick-back as well).
The game might be too simple to release on Steam and charge for it. I believe having it readily available on the web suits it better. It's more like Agar io or curve fever perhaps. That level.
So what's the play here? Ads? Freemium?
Any tips would be much appreciated!
Made a race game with a twist.
The car in the lead controls the camera and everyone else has to stay in view or they’re eliminated.
This was the idea I had in mind. I also wanted to make it super easy to play online. Host a lobby and send your friends a link and they should be able to join instantly.
No account required as of now.
Works on desktop/mobile. Works even better on mobile if u download the web app.
Online multiplayer should work fine, if it doesn't I might have ran out of server credits. Local multiplayer should still work in that case.
There are quite a few settings to be made. I'm still experimenting a lot to find the most solid gameplay.
Hopefully u guys want to try it out. Some anonymous telemetry will hopefully get me a better idea of what works and what doesn't.
I'd really appreciate it if you wanna try it out.
All the best!

@ldo_dev Nah dude, especially for an indie-dev like yourself. I think no one in their right mind should expect money from you scouting out bugs.
Not like you're a huge enterprise.
