This morning in Mombasa, I inaugurated a retreat with Chairpersons of Councils of Public Universities.
This high-level engagement is aimed at strengthening governance, enhancing accountability, and aligning university education with our national development priorities. We are discussing critical issues such as good governance in the management of public universities, effective and prudent use of resources, and the ongoing reforms in the tertiary education sector.
I reaffirmed the Governmentโs commitment to fostering a robust, inclusive university system, one that equips learners with 21st-century skills and supports Kenyaโs socio-economic transformation. I urged university councils to embrace their oversight role and lead our institutions toward this shared vision.
The @BioVaxInstitute Stakeholder Mapping Workshop opened with a resolute aim- bringing together industry leaders, researchers, government officials, and international partners committed to advancing vaccine and biotherapeutics manufacturing in Kenya. Hon. Dr. Swarup Mishra, Chairman of the Board of Directors, officially inaugurated the event, emphasizing the urgency of self-sufficiency in vaccine production.
