Let me make my stance on the Josh Jacobs situation CRYSTAL CLEAR!

First and foremost, I’m a GREEN BAY PACKERS FAN!

But if that surveillance footage comes out and shows Josh Jacobs doing something absolutely EGREGIOUS, then his ass shouldn’t just be suspended he should be BANNED from the NFL, à la Ray Rice!

PERIOD! NO EXCUSES!

But until additional evidence warrants further punishment, LET THE MAN PLAY!

Here’s what I find interesting…

BOTH Jacobs and the victim have fought to keep the surveillance footage from being publicly released.

The victim has expressed concerns about her privacy, identity, and potential harassment.

Jacobs has raised concerns about footage exposing the layout of his home and creating potential security risks.

And before anyone dismisses those concerns, DO YOUR RESEARCH!

Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Joe Burrow, and several other professional athletes have had their homes targeted by thieves. The FBI has even investigated organized burglary rings specifically targeting professional athletes!

So those security concerns aren’t necessarily unreasonable.

Now, let’s be CLEAR!

Josh Jacobs pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges. He has accepted responsibility for his actions, faced legal consequences, and already missed games while on the Commissioner’s Exempt List.

That DOES NOT mean he should automatically be absolved of any additional wrongdoing if further evidence warrants discipline.

But it also doesn’t mean we should automatically assume the absolute WORST without seeing all the evidence!

And before Bears, Lions, or Vikings fans accuse me of being biased, my position would be EXACTLY THE SAME if he played for your team!

I’m a Packers fan, but I’m a FAIRNESS fan FIRST!

We live in a society where people are sometimes so quick to convict someone in the court of public opinion before all the facts are established.

ACCOUNTABILITY MATTERS.
EVIDENCE MATTERS.
FAIRNESS MATTERS.

If the evidence warrants a lifetime ban, BAN HIM!

If it doesn’t, let the man continue his career while the NFL completes its process.

You can support accountability AND due process at the same time!
