like sure, it hits smaller developers in a bigger way but smaller developers have been doing just fine even before ai usage
if anything it makes smaller creators who don't do it more appealing and drives much greater success, quality over quantity is highly profitable in games
the argument isn't even logically sound
disclosing ai usage makes it worse for game developers to succeed because... competition is also required to disclose ai usage?
wouldn't that negatively impact both developers in the same way?
Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney believes Valve is irresponsible for forcing AI disclosures on Steam. 🔗 https://t.co/yLJU9QXOJw
"I think it's really irresponsible of Valve. They shouldn't do it, because it makes it much, much, much harder for a game developer to have a chance of success. You have to choose from either not using tools that can make you way more productive, and probably failing due to competition that does."
@windsettt the thing is that religion is also tribalism, so everything racism does, religion can do too, but religion also pretends to answer questions we don't know the answers to
it's the ultimate scapegoat
@windsettt the more people are inclined to learn, the less likely they are to be hateful
religion has its ups and downs, and racism has only downsides, but religion's downsides are far more detrimental to development where racism is extreme tribalism
@windsettt alright then I'll get rid of poverty fuck hunger it can go to the bottom if it's a package deal
next up would be either religion or racism
both have their own caveats and are probably responsible for the same amount of violence and hatred
@windsettt getting rid of poverty doesn't mean you suddenly have access to food and water
the reason people are starving in some areas of the world are because they lack the means to acquire food, not because they lack money, although that's also a problem
@windsettt i didn't say racism doesn't get people killed I said it doesn't justify the killing of somebody
"I did it because I was racist" is significantly more abhorrent to people as opposed to "I did it in the name of God"
@windsettt religion causes a mindset of kinship, where racism is just something asshole do, somebody who follows the same religion is much more likely to be tolerant of bigotry from somebody of the same religion because birds of a feather stick together
@windsettt racism itself is never used as a justification for killing somebody, it's a cruel thing to do, but at least a majority of people will attempt to speak out against it when they see it in the wild
religion would be the next thing to go, imo, if the other 3 weren't obvious
imagine going to see hamilton and after intermission ends and right before The Room Where It Happens I crash out because I don't know why Burr shot Hamilton
that
that was kinda dissappointing
gameplay and spectacle wise the best chapter
but REALLY YOU MAKE THE ASGORE FOCUSED CHAPTER AND YOU DONT EVEN SAY WHAT HAPPENED??? YOU JUST DONT ANSWER ANYTHING???? REALLY????
