PM Modi's #MannKiBaat came & went without a mention of the NEET, CBSE & CUET mess.
Let's not pretend this is beneath the Prime Minister's attention. We have seen the full communication apparatus mobilised over far smaller matters. Photo ops, speeches, tweets & inaugurations for projects of purely local significance.
When millions of students are affected, however, the country is expected to accept silence.
Strange priorities for a nation that calls its youth its greatest asset.
Can’t imagine someone is defending a man caught urinating in a Delhi Metro lift that too in front of two girls by calling it hate and bigotry. Try defending this act by a senior citizen in London, Singapore, Dubai or any civilised city in the world & you’d get your answer! This act doesn’t need sensitivity and empathy it exposes lack of civic sense & disregard of public utility.
NEET paper leak is personal. Competitive exams are the only level playing field for middle class families like ours. I owe my career to one such exam. If the state can't do the bare minimum of conducting an exam then better not ask for votes from the ones you failed to deliver.
A blacklisted company got SSC,CSIR & NTA exam tenders after rules were conveniently modified coz they lacked the required staff & resources.
BJP has reached a stage where even blatant scams don't embarrass them anymore.
I had said that this will happen. And I am saying that the moment RE-NEET answer key is out, we will see this number go up. The question paper will be tougher, kids will die assuming they won’t make the cut off.
In a caring democracy, minister should be in jail. This blood is on his and BJP’s hands.
I pray not a single kid kill him/herself for the crimes of our ministers. But it is what it is.
Education has gone down the drain in last few years. Esp Med Ed. NEET is the worst managed of all entrance exams be it UG, PG or SS. Papers getting leaked, exams getting cancelled or delayed, no new permanent posts for faculty, recruitment interviews are rigged. And
Looking at the state of affairs in med edu in present times, I wonder why middle class people still live that dream of making their kids Drs. Why don’t they understand that it’s not worth it in our country. Even after doing MBBS ur kid might have to work as a gig worker to make
Your goal is just to add the no of seats and colleges without giving any shit about the facilities and infrastructure at those colleges. Leave alone the future job prospects and permanent faculty posts for those who pass out. Just creating unemployed doctors.
Ten years ago, India had 387 medical colleges and 51,000 UG seats; today, there are 820 colleges with 1.26 lakh UG seats. PG seats have increased from 31,000 to 85,000.
The goal is to add 75,000 more UG and PG seats in five years, with 28,000 already achieved in the last two years.
