Key disadvantages of allowing Starlink in India include:
National security risks: Foreign-controlled network limits India's ability to shut off service in sensitive border areas or ensure availability during crises. Past reports of terminals with militants or smugglers raise misuse concerns.
Data sovereignty issues: Laser links could route traffic outside Indian gateways, complicating monitoring and lawful interception.
High costs: Hardware and monthly fees likely far exceed affordable terrestrial options like Jio or Airtel, limiting rural access.
Market impact: Could disrupt local telecoms and foster over-reliance on a single US provider instead of domestic alternatives.
Starlink in India would enable high-speed, affordable Internet connectivity for those who can’t afford current prices or who don’t have a connection at all!
Have a bit of aerophobia, maybe cos I watched too many episodes of Aircrash Investigations as a kid. Had to inevitably take a flight recently, even minor turbulence scared me to death. I cannot even imagine how the people onboard flyDubai must've felt. So glad all lives are safe.
As an ICU practitioner who witnesses countless lives being turned upside down everyday, I’ve come to realise that health should be the first, and probably the only thing we need to ask for in our prayers each day. Life is too uncertainty, and mostly unfair. 🥀
@IndianAirforce That's a given but none of that matters sometimes when your luck is bad. You can do everything right and still end up in the ICU, that's the whole point.
The future doesn't look too bright if you are protesting against paper leaks on an odd day and protesting to justify cheating during exams on an even day.
@thenucleardoc I haven't seen that video.. neither am I commenting anything on the original tweet. This is only about those coming in with symptoms- the tweet you have quoted.
@DoctorLFC Sir, forget newborn video, I have seen content being made on resuscitation of OP poisoning patient who came in an arrested state. Everything is shown- shock part, attender counselling- like some dramatic movie. Exploiting somebody's most vulnerable moment for content is so cheap.
