Pakistan has become central to U.S.–Iran talks after appealing directly to Trump, who extended the ceasefire.
Trump’s view of Pakistan appears highly positive. According to officials, “Trump loves winners, and he’s impressed.”
He was reportedly struck by Pakistan’s military and performance, saying, “Who are these Pakistanis? It’s a small country… they’ve clobbered the Indians.”

In line with the ceasefire in Lebanon, the passage for all commercial vessels through Strait of Hormuz is declared completely open for the remaining period of ceasefire, on the coordinated route as already announced by Ports and Maritime Organisation of the Islamic Rep. of Iran.
I had the honor of accompanying Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif @CMShehbaz during his meeting with His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman.
The meeting was marked by warmth, brotherhood, and a shared vision for a stronger Pakistan–Saudi Arabia partnership. The Prime Minister reaffirmed our deep-rooted ties, built on faith, trust, and mutual respect, and explored avenues to further enhance cooperation across all sectors.
Saudi Arabia holds a special place in the hearts of Pakistanis, and we remain committed to strengthening this historic and fraternal relationship for generations to come.

Pakistan Silahlı Kuvvetler Komutanı Mareşal Asim Münir Tahran'da. Müniri İran'ın Dışişleri Bakanı Arakçi karşılamış.
İsrail'in Arakçi oradayken saldırıya götünün yememe sebebi ise Pakistan'ın nükleer güce sahip olması. Mareşallerinin kılına zarar gelse İsrail taş devrine döner.
Nükleer gücün önemini bir daha anlıyoruz.

As the Islamabad Talks commenced today, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with His Excellency JD Vance, Vice President of the United States of America.
The U.S. Vice President was assisted by Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Mr. Jared Kushner.
The Prime Minister was assisted by Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister Sen. Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Interior Minister Sen. Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi.
Commending the commitment of both delegations to engage constructively, the Prime Minister expressed the hope that these talks would serve as a stepping stone toward durable peace in the region.
The Prime Minister reiterated that Pakistan looks forward to continue its facilitation of both sides in making progress towards sustainable peace in the region.
I don’t think people around the world realize how bad the attack on Lebanon was today. It’s BAD. Like 9/11 BAD. Hospitals are overflowing and do not have enough blood. We still don’t know what the death toll is.
This is TERRORISM. Pure and Simple.
April 8. Never forget.
Lebanon has been hit with one of the largest waves of Israeli airstrikes since the escalation began.
Civilians are bearing the brunt of these attacks.
Civilians are #NotATarget.
I have just spoken with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.
I expressed France’s full solidarity in the face of the indiscriminate strikes carried out by Israel in Lebanon today, which resulted in a very high number of civilian casualties. We condemn these strikes in the strongest possible terms.
They pose a direct threat to the sustainability of the ceasefire that has just been reached. Lebanon must be fully covered by it.
I reiterated the need to preserve Lebanon’s territorial integrity and France’s determination to support the efforts of the Lebanese authorities to uphold the country’s sovereignty and implement the Hezbollah disarmament plan.
Dear Americans,
Iran does not have the missile range to strike your country;
if an attack occurs, it would most likely be carried out by your own GOVERNMENT or ISRAEL.
I am pleased to share a great news that the Government of Iran has agreed to allow 20 more ships under the Pakistani flag to pass through the Strait of Hormuz; two ships will cross the Strait daily.
This is a welcome and constructive gesture by Iran and deserves appreciation. It is a harbinger of peace and will help usher stability in the region.
This positive announcement marks a meaningful step toward peace and will strengthen our collective efforts in that direction.
Dialogue, diplomacy, and such confidence-building measures are the only way forward.
