@codyplof I get this issue quite often, especially when scaling in Europe. Splitting things almost never helped, but what has proven to work is running partnership ads with big influencers. Besides that, it was mainly a creative side fix.
@ashvinmelwani I haven’t seen bad days like this since Sep last year. CPC is the same, but the cost per ATC has exploded, which is usually a sign of low quality traffic
My three favourite ways to make high AOV offers actually convert on cold traffic.
Because let's be real. Selling a $100+ product to someone who has never heard of you is not easy. But if you figure it out, you basically remove most of your competition from the equation
Here's what I personally use.
1️⃣ Price anchor.
Never let your high ticket offer be the first price they see without context. Show them what it would cost to get the same result another way. A gym membership. A nutritionist. A full course. Suddenly your $100 product isn't expensive, it's the smart option. The price didn't change. The perception did.
2️⃣ Stop selling the offer, start selling the perceived value. Most brands list what's in the box. Features, quantity, size. But your customer doesn't care what's in the box, they care what their life looks like after they buy it. Lead with the transformation, the identity, the outcome. The offer is just the vehicle.
3️⃣ Use a prelander. Especially if you're pushing bundles or a high commitment product. Don't send cold traffic straight to a product page and expect them to convert. Warm them up first. A prelander that educates them on how the product works, sets the right expectations, and explains why they need x months to see real results. That's what nudges someone from a one month purchase to a full bundle. You're not upselling them. You're giving them the context to make the right decision themselves.
What else have you tried to crack high AOV on cold traffic?
Research is so underestimated, especially since AI became mainstream.
At the beginning of this year, we discovered a new angle that became the top performer in the account.
We found it by sending a survey to customers who had purchased at least twice, asking them how they actually use the product.
We uncovered a use case we initially thought wasn’t that important, but it turned out to resonate with a large portion of our audience.
Do more manual research.
Started working with this brand in late April. In just 17 days, we cut NCPA by 42% and boosted profits by 34%.
Here’s how we did it:
#1 Crafted a new irresistible offer for new customers.
#2 Shifted budgets to top-performing creatives that getting us new costumers
#3 Advanced Meta media buying with intraday scaling.
Small tweaks, big impact.
I would always create a separate testing campaign for the US to be able to make faster decisions in the account.
CPMs are usually much higher in the US than in other countries, so you’ll want clear stats to make decisions faster in the account. Otherwise, managing everything will get complicated
Another reason is that, in some cases, your testing campaign can become your scaling campaign, especially in the US. This makes it even more important to keep it separate.
I’ve spent tens of millions of dollars on ads for brands like Doonails, Gloria Skincare, and more. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned about unlocking more scale is finding new ad angles.
One brand I worked with was stuck at $300K/month.
We thought we knew why people were buying—until we actually asked them.
Turns out, most customers weren’t buying for themselves. They were buying the product as a “gift idea that makes sense.”
So we ran with it.
But the first test?
Flopped.
Seeing how many survey responses mentioned they bought the product as a gift, I couldn’t just scrap the idea.
Instead, we kept testing—tweaking the angle, messaging, and B-rolls until we cracked the formula.
A few months later?
That brand went from $300K to $1.7M/month.
Lesson: Send surveys, call your customers, and be obsessed with understanding why they’re buying. You’ll be amazed.
I've helped ecom brands generate over $100M in sales over the past few years.
And if there’s one thing I can say with absolute confidence, it’s that ad creatives are your #1 driver of growth in 2025.
Yesterday, I had the honor of hosting a keynote for 982 Private Club on how to create ad creatives that actually scale. The insights were too valuable to keep private, so I decided to share the full recording on YouTube for everyone to benefit.

If your brand doing less than 7 figures then you don’t need a crazy CRO testings. The fundamentals should be enough.
Remember that a good conversion rate starts with your ad creatives. The better you can pre-qualify your audience, the better they will convert on the landing page.
Double down on your ad creatives.
