It's a great time to be a fan in the Sports Capital!
The Washington Spirit, Capitals, Commanders—and as of tonight, the Wizards—are all in season.
DC pride is up in the District of Champions. 📈
More than 50 members of @kapsi1911 and others gathered at #blacklivesmatterplaza today not in protest of removal of mural but to say “you can erase BLM Plazza but not black lives” @nbcwashington
NOW: Members of DC council are at the Cannon Building lobbying against a provision in the proposed Continuing Resolution which would force DC to revert back to its 2024 budget for the remaining six months of the fiscal year. @DCNewsNow
What a great way to kick off Women’s History Month! Mayor Bowser and Samantha Abrams, owner of Sapodilla’s Caribbean Restaurant, sat down for a conversation about public-private partnership and creating opportunity in Ward 8.
This was a part of Mayor Bowser’s Small Business Tour in Historic Anacostia, where she visited three Black-owned businesses that received support from DMPED’s Food Access Fund and Neighborhood Prosperity Fund: Sweet Tooth Café and Cakes, Sapodilla’s, and Grounded.
Washington, DC gets another top ranking. This time, the District has been named one of the "most inspirational cities."
From our monuments and museums to our local arts and culture, we agree: there's a lot to be inspired by.
