IMO the main impacts of these models are aiding with mundane tasks, checking for typos, driving up GPU prices, contributing to global warming, and making some people richer.

It's always just clickbait and marketing, spreading fear when the real issue is corporate greed.
Tens of thousands have been laid off because of that — not because of AI or NLP models.

BTW, I find @AnthropicAI's Claude better at coding tasks than other AIs.
