The hardest part of leaving sports isn’t losing the game.
It’s losing the person you only knew how to be because of it.
That’s why so many former athletes feel stuck.
You’re not just rebuilding a routine.
You’re rebuilding your identity.
Former athletes:
You don’t miss the game as much as you miss who you were when you played.
The structure.
The team.
The purpose.
The hardest part of moving on is realizing you have to build a new identity.
Nationwide Drug Shortages and the US Dependence on China For Them
• according to the FDA, there are over 100 medications that are in shortage
— antibiotics, insulin
— ADD medications
— cancer medications
• China and India are the US primary source for pharmaceutical ingredients and account for 91% of all prescriptions written in the United States
—— ADI, is predominantly made sun China.
• What if China stopped exporting drugs to America?
—— This will upend the entire US health system.
• When Children’s Tylenol an ibuprofen shortages happened, it was because China prioritized their own citizens over the United States
• Strict regulation have pushed pharmaceutical manufacturers outside the US to China, where they don’t have EPA standards, or an OSHA… and it’s just plain cheaper..
🔴 MY THOUGHTS:
I’m honestly not so sure this is all a bad thing… LESS Pharma is GOOD for Americans overall well being..
But, there are some medications people do need and can’t live without.
Regardless, it’s plain dumb to have our greatest adversary, China, to be the sole monopoly on something so strategically critical.

It cannot be overstated what Deion Sanders did today.
To turn the whole Colorado program around from what it was last season to today beating a team that played in the National Championship last season…
It’s one thing to talk about it.
It’s another to actually do it.
Wow.
A wise man once told me “Work hard for what you want. Opinions mean nothing with hard work. Hard work and dedication makes you respect what you do - so much so that you will naturally silence those opinion’s including your own.”
Read that again.
You don't need a perfect plan.
You don't need the right timing.
You don't need to control everything.
Just start.
You'll make mistakes but that's all part of the learning process.
A life worth living is built on action.
Start.
Today.
Athletes make the mistake of believing they derive value from their sport
Once their sport ends, they are confused.
My message is to remember you just play your sport that's it.
There is MORE TO YOU, focus on the other versions of you before it's too late.
If you had started that side hustle last year, you'd be self employed by now.
If you start it today, you can be self employed by this time next year.
Don't let your future self down by giving in to the fear of how much work you'll have to do.
I promise it's worth it.
