It can be kind of scary to step out of the comfort bubble of only wanting things to change.

Taking action, educating myself, learning, participating..

Real change doesn't come from only posting and wishing, I want to be an active part of the change I long for.

I grew up in a city next to the US. The American culture has been bombarded to me since I was born—the hyper-individualism, capitalism, neoliberalism, the American dream propaganda.

I'm happy I got to move somewhere else where I can finally be closer to my country's traditions.

and embrace them.

I still have a lot to learn and unlearn. I am hungry for change. I recognize how damaging many of the ideas I grew up with are and how rich the world is outside the colonialistic culture that has permeated everything after globalization.
