I was curious to see how /Goals would work in Codex for a trading strategy and what insights it might come up with.
It ran for more than 24 hours, then created a heartbeat because it thought continuing before fresh market data would just waste tokens.
One thing I noticed while using Codex. I was trying to bulk pull transcripts from a YouTube channel. At first it refused, saying it wasn’t sure I had the rights. Then I told it I did have the rights and it went ahead.
Agents need context, not just instructions
I first tried using Claude for captions and scripts. It helped but only up to a point. The issue wasn’t with Claude. It didn’t know our projects, footage, past posts, or what we could honestly say. That’s when I realized: better prompts weren’t enough. The business needed memory.
I’ve been helping a friend with content for his construction business. The problem isn’t lack of content. There’s raw footage, project updates, and completed work. The hard part is deciding what to post and how to stay consistent. So I’m building a simple system around it.
Tried Comet Assistant to post a tweet about learnings from a YouTube video. It realized my draft was too long and trimmed it down automatically. Pretty amazing to see.
We’re building SiteSketchSolutions, a tech-enabled construction company, to make construction simpler & more transparent. 🚧
Our goal? To eliminate the chaos and give clients real-time updates, easy payment tracking, and all project docs in one place. #BuildInPublic
It’s crazy how those late-night meetings and rough ideas finally pay off when you see something you built in your hands. Now it’s time to grind and grow it.
April was a good month we built and released our first-ever app on both iOS and Android with no prior experience. I learned so much along the way, and I’ll be sharing more about it here in the coming days.
The only subscription I’ve stuck with till today is YouTube Premium — hands down one of the best. Watching and listening without ads just makes life easier.
