Announcing The Horowitz Andreessen Academy.
The internet made it possible to know anything. AI makes it possible to do anything.
The best assignments now are problems so hard they cannot be solved without AI. The Academy courses follow the same logic and will be taught by world-class leaders.
The most talented young people today rarely have their sharpest peers within walking distance. Their network is online. Those networks are real, but they're thin.
The next generation will not be taught the way the last one was. The Academy is built for that world, and it begins in San Francisco.
If you're young, hungry and love building things, apply for the Founding Class Fellowship.
1. π€ @Meta's integration of @Google search results into their platform raises questions about potential partnerships between these competitive giants. This unexpected collaboration could reshape the landscape of online search and data usage.
2. π Zuckerberg's aggressive push places a search box at the top of all Meta apps, aiming to capture valuable user intent data directly. This move could significantly disrupt Google's dominance in search advertising.
3. π Meta's strategic use of both direct search queries and psychographic data could create a formidable advertising model, blending intent with detailed user profiles for highly targeted ads. This dual approach poses a major threat to traditional search ad models.
@tferriss@DrAndyGalpin Great episode, very timely as I am prepping for Feb/March snowboarding and have chronic back issues. Can also confirm creatine + coffee = disaster pants π - if you documented the 7 day routine would love to see it
Jeff Bezos famously only allowed 4 different answers to a question at Amazon:
1. Yes
2. No.
3. A number
4. I don't know, but I'll know it by X
If you're uncomfortable saying option 4, you've got work to do.

Find myself re-reading the classic essay "How to Do Great Work" by @paulg while thinking about my 2024 priorities.
"Don't try to work in a distinctive style. Just try to do the best job you can; you won't be able to help doing it in a distinctive way."

@Jason Iβm all for skills training, apprenticeships, and more defined success tracks. Iβm not convinced that the college education system is where more public money should be spent. I also believe funds for skills training and programs needs to be allocated at the local level.
@tferriss@photomatt Love hearing that AI, albeit reluctantly, has brought @photomatt back on here. Itβs been the exact reason I was brought back after nearly a decade. What a win for @elonmusk π
@tferriss@kevinrose Really lovely episode gents. I fell off the podcast train for a couple years but this year has had so many great episodes and extremely timely discussions that have overlapped nicely with my own interests and journey π₯π» looking forward to more @cockpunch in 2024 π€πΌ
