Not Shocked: Legislators in OK and SD who claim to be anti-abortion yet chose to work against pro-life bills because they wanted to argue for prison sentences for post-abortive mothers have been losing their GOP primaries.

Turns out killing pro-life bills that would save babies today while grandstanding and becoming a reliable obstruction or vote for Democrats isn’t an effective way to win re-election.

“I effing killed him” — Gay man charged with murder of baby boy he adopted.

The baby’s cause of death was acute upper airways obstruction, as a result of smothering by hand, fabric, or inserted object.

The child had suffered 40 injuries including external and internal bruising, and a fractured arm.

Detective found videos on Varley’s phone, recorded earlier that day, with the boy lying on the bed with respiratory arrest but the defendant did not seek medical help.

Varley is charged with: murder, manslaughter, two counts of assault by penetration, five counts of cruelty to a child, grievous bodily harm, sexual assault of a child, 13 counts of taking indecent photos or videos of a child, one of distributing an indecent photo of a child.

A month before the child’s death, Varley told a social worker he wasn’t “bonding” with the child and was having “dark thoughts” about him, including thoughts of drowning or suffocating the baby. He said he would never act on them.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

They let him keep the baby anyway.

I was proud to stand with @GovStitt as he signed our @SFLAction model legislation, the “Anti-Chemical Abortion Trafficking Act,” making Oklahoma the first state in the nation to impose criminal penalties on Chemical Abortion Pill traffickers.

Chemical abortion is the leading killer of American children, and we are ending it.

Short answer: We are.

Long answer: Here are the receipts.

In March, @Sflaction engaged in a primary race and defeated the NC Senate President, Phil Berger. Berger spent nearly $10M. His opponent around $80K. Our student volunteers knocked in the precincts in Berger's home county that he had never lost before. This time was different.

Last Tuesday in WV, the #ProLifeGen sent a message loud and clear: if you block pro-life legislation, your constituents will hear about it. House Finance Chair Vernon Criss, who repeatedly blocked our “Anti-Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking Act" this spring, lost to SFLAction-backed, first-time candidate Charles Hartzog.

And then, last night in KY, PA, and GA, we saw big wins as all of our incumbent state champions won re-election, and challengers like PA's Dave Nissley, who had previously lost his bid, won after we came in big for him.

So far this primary season, SFLAction candidates we've been approving and endorsing with door-knocking, texts, and mail have had a 70% win rate.

The grassroots pro-life movement is alive, organized, and WINNING.
