There is no Durand Line, it is the Pakistan–Afghanistan border and that is the end of the story. Whoever still sells the old colonial map as an open wound is not defending Pashtuns, they are trying to unmake Pakistan. If they want history, then take the full history: Kabul and this land sat in the same civilizational world from Gandhara onward, but history is not a deed of ownership in 2026. Talk of today. Talk of Pakistan. More than ninety percent of Pashtuns chose Quaid-e-Azam and this country, and our fathers did not vote so that a party manifesto could later treat our soil as leftover Afghan geography. We are the descendants of Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar, not of some Afghani thag writing claims on our homes from the other side of a settled border. Pashtun honour is with Pakistan, not with a manifesto that keeps picking at a closed question.

پشتونخوا ملی عوامی پارٹی کے منشور میں ڈیورنڈ لائن کو افغانستان سے چھینے گئے پشتون وطن کی بے رحم، ناروا اور ناجائز تقسیم قرار دیا گیا ہے اور یہ بھی لکھا گیا ہے کہ اس خط کے تاریخی تجارتی راستوں پر تجارت اور آر پار قبائل کو معاہدے کے مطابق آنے جانے کی اجازت ہوگی۔ یہ نکات دیکھ کر یہ تاثر ابھرتا ہے کہ یہ جماعت پاکستان کی سیاسی پارٹی سے زیادہ افغان سیاسی جماعت کی طرح برتاؤ کر رہی ہے۔ پاکستان کی کوئی قومی جماعت ملک کے مفادات کے خلاف ایسا موقف نہیں رکھ سکتی۔ افغانستان دہشت گرد تنظیموں کا مرکز بن چکا ہے اور پاک افغان سرحد کو بے شمار قربانیوں کے بعد محفوظ بنایا گیا ہے۔ ایسے میں سرحد کھولنے اور اسے متنازعہ بنانے کا محمود خان اچکزئی کا بیانیہ یہ ظاہر کرتا ہے کہ وہ پاکستان کی سرحدی سلامتی سے زیادہ افغانستان کے مفادات کو ترجیح دے رہے ہیں۔ یہ جماعت نسلی حساسیت کا فائدہ اٹھا کر تاریخی شواہد کی غلط تشریح کرتی ہے اور نسلی تقسیم کو ہوا دیتی ہے جس سے قومی یکجہتی اور پاکستانی شناخت کمزور پڑتی ہے۔ ان کا بیانیہ ہمیشہ ملک دشمن رہا ہے اس لیے ان کے سربراہ کی قائدِ حزبِ اختلاف کے طور پر نامزدگی کو پاکستان سے دشمنی اور آئین کی خلاف ورزی سمجھا جانا چاہیے۔ ان کے مبینہ ایجنڈے کو عوام کے سامنے بے نقاب کیا جائے اور اگر غیر ملکی ایجنڈے کے قابلِ اعتماد شواہد سامنے آئیں تو الیکشن کمیشن آئینی طریقے سے جائزہ لے کر مجاز فورم سے رجوع کرے۔

The manifesto of Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party describes the Durand Line as a ruthless, unjust and illegitimate division of the Pashtun homeland snatched from Afghanistan, and it also states that trade will be allowed on the historical trade routes of this line and that the adjoining Pashtun tribes on both sides will be permitted to move across it according to the Durand Agreement. Seeing these points gives the impression that this party behaves more like an Afghan political party than a Pakistani one. No national political party of Pakistan can hold such a position against the interests of the country. Afghanistan has become a hub of terrorist organizations and the Pak-Afghan border has been secured after countless sacrifices. In such circumstances, Mahmood Khan Achakzai’s narrative of opening the border and making it controversial shows that he is prioritizing Afghanistan’s interests over Pakistan’s border security. This party exploits ethnic sensitivities, misinterprets historical evidence and fans ethnic division, which weakens national unity and Pakistani identity. Their narrative has always been anti-state, therefore the nomination of their leader as Leader of the Opposition should be seen as enmity towards Pakistan and a violation of the Constitution. Their alleged agenda should be exposed before the public, and if credible evidence of a foreign agenda comes to light, the Election Commission should review it under the constitutional process and approach the competent forum.

Relations between the United States and Iran appear to be thawing. A second meeting of the American and Iranian delegations in New York has gained added importance. Sources say Pakistani and Qatari mediators may attend that session. Preparations are moving ahead for the Iranian and U.S. teams to meet again in New York with Pakistan and Qatar acting as mediators. Intensive diplomacy over the past 24 hours has aimed at making the talks succeed. Sources add that the United Nations Secretary-General’s office is being kept fully informed of key developments.

fresh armed clashes in Jahan Abad (Jihad Abad), Saravan, in Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan province between Baloch armed groups and IRGC forces, with attached video showing thick smoke rising over low-rise buildings in a residential area.
This adds to recent tensions in the province, following mid-September 2026 operations in Saravan where Iranian forces targeted suspected militant hideouts linked to groups like Jaish al-Adl or People's Fighters Front, resulting in reported deaths on both sides.

Pakistan security forces report 19 terrorists killed in ongoing operations in Quetta and Kech districts (Balochistan). One soldier, Subedar Muhammad Jamil, martyred. Operations continue under Azm-e-Istehkam.

Intelligence agencies reported the presence of multiple hideouts of Indian-sponsored Fitna Al Khawarij and Fitna Al Hindustan in the general area of Shaban, District Quetta, posing a threat to the local population. In order to safeguard the local populace and clear the area of terrorists, Security Forces have been conducting a clearance operation in the general area of Shaban, District Quetta, since 21 September 2026. During the operation, Security Forces effectively engaged and cleared multiple terrorist hideouts.

Following an intense exchange of fire, 13 Indian-sponsored terrorists have been killed so far. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the cleared hideouts. The clearance operation will continue until the complete neutralization of the threat in the area.

In separate engagements, on 22 and 23 September 2026, Security Forces conducted pre-emptive intelligence-based operations in District Kech and District Quetta West.

During the operations, troops effectively engaged the terrorists and, following an intense exchange of fire, six terrorists were killed. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered. During the exchange of fire, Subedar Muhammad Jamil aged thirty nine, resident of Taunsa Sharif, District Dera Ghazi Khan, a son of the soil made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and embraced shahadat.

The relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue at full pace. Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies remain committed to eliminating the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Office of the Spokesperson) announced in Islamabad on 23 September 2026 that the Government of Pakistan is pleased to appoint Lieutenant General Nauman Mahmood, Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) (Retired), as the first Secretary General pursuant to the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement (MJDA). The Secretary General will lead the General Secretariat of the Alliance being established in Riyadh.

According to security sources, further details have emerged about the 23 September drone attacks by the illegitimate Afghan Taliban regime. All of the drones were detected in time by the Pakistan Air Force’s active defensive system. On the Pakistan–Afghanistan border, the PAF-supervised detection and defensive system remains on standby and fully active around the clock.
The downed drones further confirm that the Pakistan Armed Forces have both the resolve and the capability to defeat every land, air, and terrorist incursion by the Afghan Taliban regime. Debris from the destroyed drones is being taken into custody.

On 22 September 2026, during Operation Rad-ul-Fitna 3, cowardly FAK terrorists attempted an attack on the Khuni Talab Joint Check Post in Kanak Valley, Balochistan. Alert troops responded swiftly, killing two terrorists on the spot and forcing the remaining attackers to flee. The Wing Commander immediately moved in with reinforcements and launched a hot pursuit. In the ensuing firefight, seven more Khariji terrorists were eliminated, bringing the total to nine. Alhamdulillah. The hunt continues.
