Today, I signed the bipartisan repeal of the tampon tax into law. This long overdue legislation will cut costs for Michigan families and put millions back into their pockets.
Ok.. so now all the idiots who don’t believe in Covid /the vaccine can pretend they are vaccinated and not have to wear a mask.. but my 2 year old still has to wear one. Make that make sense.
If we want parents to be able to work—and if we don’t want women to get disproportionately pushed out of the workforce—it is time to invest in child care the same way we invest in roads and bridges. It’s all basic infrastructure.
I’m no longer going to scream, but if you work 40 hours a week you should be able to afford housing and I can’t believe that’s a debate in “the greatest country on earth”
Somebody’s got to pay to keep this country running. Giant corporations use armies of lobbyists and lawyers to rig the tax rules so they can shove more of that obligation onto small businesses and the middle class.
The wealthy and well-connected need to pay their fair share.
Following the governor’s shot, 6 GRPS students received their first Pfizer dose. They are serving as Protect Michigan Commission COVID-19 ambassadors. They’re urging their peers, those over 16, to become vaccinated.

That a family had to lose a son, brother and father; that a teenage girl had to film and post a murder, that millions across the country had to organize and march just for George Floyd to be seen and valued is not justice.
And this verdict is not a substitute for policy change.
Goes to store for coffee & beer. Comes back with beer, wine, seltzer, fake flowers, strawberry plant & sweet treat for toddler. 30 mins after returning home realizes I never got coffee🤦♀️
