अल जजीरा के मुताबिक़ उनके ब्यूरो प्वाएल अल-दहदौह ने इजरायली हवाई हमले में अपनी पत्नी, बेटे और बेटी को खो दिया। अल जज़ीरा के अनुसार, विस्फोट सेंट्रल गाजा पट्टी में नुसीरत शेल्टर होम के एक घर पर हुआ, जहां परिवार डिस्प्लेस्ड होने के बाद शरण ले रहा था

अब दुनिया भर के एक्टिविस्ट और संस्थाये ये सवाल पूछ रही है की इज़राइल आख़िर कर शेल्टर होम्स को निशाना क्यू बना रहा है जब की सब को पता है शेल्टर होम्स में पीड़ित लोग रहते है ना कि आतंकवादी , इस हमले के बाद इंटरनेशनल प्रेस और CPJ पत्रकारों की सेफ्टी की बात कर रही है लेकिन बिना दहदौह का नाम लिए !
