@synopsi I bought a sweet racing sim setup almost 2 years ago that I still haven’t finished building. It’s weird..I was so excited researching and buying all the parts for it. I think that was actually the fun part
@dtcprophet We have 100+ former TW customers paying us $99-249/mo for dashboards and attribution. https://t.co/I8YC0jFm6B
We are not the absolute cheapest, but we’re 8fig ecomm operators who got sick of paying TW and built something we like more and use daily.
@BNarasin@CNBC great point on brand as an even more critical moat when the cost of being wrong can have disproportionately bad outcome / optics. "nobody gets fired for buying IBM"!
I think yes. Demand is declining since 2021 but it hasn't off a cliff. Still time to save but gotta be drastic. Go full doge on opex, cut product catalog to the bone, aggressively liquidate dead stock outside US. cut all discount outlet relationships immediately and carefully invest in new product and a re-brand
Chili's share price has 5x'd in the last 3 years from just plain awesome execution from their new CEO @kdhochman. A lot of blocking and tackling on the operational side and smart menu introductions that helped them harness social. Good reminder that GREAT execution can take you very very far. The answer to a turnaround is not likely in some whiz bang innovation. https://t.co/zj2Q7B9UpR
@lifeofbi Wow that’s incredible for a household name in a massive category with primarily subscription revenue. It seems like they’re trying to essentially reboot their go to market by killing
their legacy MLM network which presumably was sucking the business dry.
@DhruvMehrotra Alexa is such a gigantic failure it's really hard to believe how they squandered such a massive lead in the voice assistant market. LLM assistants just completely revolutionized the space and Alexa just watched it happen from the sidelines.
It's really hard for big co's to launch new probabilistic products (Search, AI). The risk of "looking stupid" ends up making the quality-bar-needed-to-launch too high. Labeling the launch "beta" or "labs" helps a little but not a lot since the first viral screenshot of the product looking stupid (remember the put-glue-on-pizza google ai summary), or even an exec-level product review with too many embarrassing moments, will trigger a knee-jerk retreat. https://t.co/qJYDUgRa2A
