A family in Gaza raised thousands. Their family name is internationally known. Poems are recited and the final interview by Rafaat Al Areer shared everywhere then some USian stole every cent raised bc he felt like he deserved it more and nothing happened to this thief. He was exposed and all. Nothing happened. He just rode off into the sunset with money meant for people surviving a holocaust as the families struggle to survive day by day in a concentration camp. Sadly this is one of many instances by so called western allies. Still they appeal to the same people causing them harm. Que vaina.
💢 NEW: Iranian Analyst Warns Tehran Against Opening Strait: “Don’t Forget the JCPOA Experience”
🔹Foad Izadi, an international affairs expert and professor at University of Tehran, is warning Iran not to open the Strait of Hormuz, arguing that Secretary of State Rubio’s public statements about U.S. conditions for a deal reveal a trap Tehran has fallen into before.
🔹In a Senate session Tuesday, Rubio outlined two U.S. conditions: Iran must stop firing on or threatening commercial ships in the Strait, and must commit to negotiations over its enriched uranium — including its removal. When asked whether the U.S. would lift sanctions in exchange for opening the Strait, Rubio drew a distinction between congressional, executive, and international sanctions, saying some could be lifted and others could not — but that financial payment for opening the Strait “is not on the table.”
🔹Izadi argues the dynamic mirrors the JCPOA era, when then Secretary of State John Kerry’s congressional statements — not the deal’s text — ended up being implemented in practice. His warnings to Tehran:
▪️ Congressional sanctions, not executive ones, are the main lever — Trump cannot force Congress to lift them
▪️ Under INARA (2015 law), any Iran deal requires congressional approval; the Israeli lobby will block it
▪️ Opening the Strait lowers U.S. gas prices, reducing the domestic cost of attacking Iran
▪️ “Don’t open the Strait for at least two more months”
▪️ “Don’t forget to collect tolls” — Strait revenues could exceed Iran’s oil sales
Izadi warns against “repeating the cycle of attack, ceasefire, negotiation, attack.”
🔴 BREAKING: Three people were killed in an Israeli strike targeting a group of Palestinian police officers in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, according to Shehab News. It was not immediately clear whether all of those killed were police officers.
Israel has systematically targeted Gaza’s civilian police force during the ceasefire, killing at least 42 officers responsible for preventing looting, securing aid deliveries, and maintaining public order.
📷 Pictured is Mohammed Al-Dada, one of those killed in the strike today. More on this story shortly.
It's really been hard to write my thoughts on my first year out of Gaza.
But here is my reflection, as I've realised that survival outside Gaza was a lie & now I have to fight a mental occupation and emotional death in the West.

Breaking🚨: Kareem Nassar was killed by Israel less than 24 hours after his wedding in an airstrike on Gaza City.
I don’t have words anymore. I can’t even bear it. 💔
Nancy Sinatra revealed that her father, singer Frank Sinatra, helped smuggle an estimated $1 million in cash in March 1948 to support the Haganah — the paramilitary terrorist group responsible for numerous massacres and acts of ethnic cleansing during the Nakba, including attacks on Palestinian villages that forced hundreds of thousands out of their homes ahead of the creation of the Israeli state.
The funds were reportedly delivered through covert channels to purchase arms for Zionist militias as Palestinians faced systematic expulsions, killings, and the destruction of their communities in what became one of the defining war crimes of the 20th century.
It’s hard to take Nakba “commemorations” seriously when they come from officials who do nothing to stop it and allow it to continue, including through allowing the sale of stolen land. This is not a moment for politicians to be applauded while the Nakba continues.
Quds News Network’s new documentary on Refaat Alareer, the Palestinian writer, poet, professor, and mentor killed by an Israeli airstrike in Gaza in December 2023, tells his story through the voices of those who knew and loved him, including Al Araby TV correspondent Asem Alnabih and Palestinian journalist Ahmed Alnaouq, co-founder of the storytelling platform “We Are Not Numbers.”

Honouring my colleagues in the demonstration today whose memories will never die.
Anas Al-Sharif and Fatima Hassouna: The most honourable and respected journalists.
Examples to all of us. Heroes of our time who should have been alive.
This guy from DSA is really using Nakba Day to celebrate himself and his organization while Palestinians mourn our families, our dispossession, and an ongoing genocide. Palestine was not brought to the forefront of public consciousness because of DSA. It was forced into public consciousness by the genocide of Palestinians and by decades of Palestinian resistance, organizing, and sacrifice at immense cost.
And where is this same “we did this” energy when Mamdani equates anti Zionism with antisemitism, threatens political speech with hate crime charges, throws protesters under the bus, or keeps Jessica Tisch as police commissioner? Why doesn’t he say “DSA did that” too?
It’s incredible to watch people instrumentalize Palestinian suffering for political self mythology while demanding Palestinians stay quiet every time those same politicians criminalize our movement. Nakba Day is not a branding opportunity for DSA.
💢 At least 11 Palestinians have been killed and more than 60 wounded in Israeli strikes on Gaza City and northern Gaza over the past 24 hours, according to hospital sources speaking to Al Jazeera Arabic. The latest death was recorded in Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, where an Israeli drone strike was carried out, according to the enclave’s ambulance and emergency services.
The Israeli occupation continues the genocide in Gaza under the farcical “ceasefire.” The deadly “Yellow Line” expands every day and now another “Orange Line” emerges to suffocate Palestinians further.
Israeli airstrikes have not stopped, ban on entry of aid has not been lifted and the siege tightens with every passing day. This is not a ceasefire, this is genocide repackaged.
Israeli occupation forces moved their tanks near Nitzarim Roundabout on Salaheddin Street, southeast of the Gaza City, expanding the Yellow Line by about 300 metres in the area..

🚨: In an email leaked to me, the @ICRC, & apparently other INGOs in Gaza, have reduced their employees' salaries by 1000 Shekels (344 USD), although the living conditions are only getting worse.
One employee told me that the INGOs informed them, "Your war has gone on too long."
The ICRC has appealed for $2,317,594,374 for its operations in 2026. This year, the EU alone announced €458 million in humanitarian aid for the Middle East, including Palestine, specifically to be delivered through international organisations like the ICRC.
Instead of balancing out the budget gap in other ways, the people of Gaza living a genocide pay the price. This is a very unfair decision and must be reviewed and rescinded.
💢 At Least 31 Killed in One of Bloodiest Days of Israeli Strikes on Southern Lebanon
Israeli attacks killed at least 31 people across southern Lebanon on Friday, including a civil defense worker, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency — one of the deadliest single days since fighting resumed on March 2, according to AJ English which compiled some of the incidents:
🔹5 people were killed in two strikes on the town of Toura in the Tyre district, where rescue operations were still underway to locate a missing girl beneath the rubble.
🔹5 others died in strikes across villages in the Bint Jbeil and Nabatieh districts.
🔹4 more were killed in a separate strike on as-Sultaniyah in the Bint Jbeil district.
🔹An Israeli drone killed the civil defense worker on the road between Kfarchouba and Kfarhamam in the Hasbaiyya district.
Israel’s attacks come despite a ceasefire announced April 17 and extended through May 17. @cbonneauimages compiled a full list below.
