You will see its about "taking back" control over the narrative, internet, online websites and services and being able to link every single online account to an individuals digital ID/Biometrics/physical ID. Its clear that governments are scared that the free flow of information uncontrolled and unmonitored by citizens could make the governments lose the power they shve over their own citizens and their beliefs. This is why they want to include algorithm control, forced insertion of MSM into feeds, etc.

The end goal proposed in those write-ups and discussions roadmaps, is to effectively eliminate all digital and physical privacy, be able to censor speech at will and to control what people can see/hear/listen to in order to supposedly protect against foreign influence/electrion influence/misinformation/etc.

However, we know from history both past (Nazi Germany/soviet union) and present (China/north Korea/Russia/Iran/etc) that once a government has these types of powers, which they always claim is for national security or crime fighting they ALWAYS get abused.

Do we want to live in a world where our rights are so completely and totally infringed that the only escape historically is either revolution, civil war, coup, or national collapse/foreign invasion? Do we really want to have millions of people die just so we can get our rights back?

Because historically that is the only ways in which nations gave these powers up.

We can see in china how millions of people are in "re-education camps" based on their religious and ethnic backgrounds or political views. Their only hope is really to have a political revolution or coup but the CCP and Xi are so brutal and suspicious that they are quashing anything before it even has a chance to start. Its likely given chinas population if they ever did manage to win back their freedom and rights they'd have tens of millions of people die in the resulting chaos.

We seen in Nazi Germany where millions of people were tracked, surveilled, censored and arrested and sent to death camps for their religious, political , genetic, ethnic, racial or health conditions, etc. It took foreign invasion to end the German tyranny. In that process though millions of German citizens died who were civilians and between allied and soviet troops millions of German women were raped by troops. Up to 1/3 women in Berlin were estimated to have been raped from pre-teens to women in their 70s+. Hundreds of thousands were forced to bear children from their rapists and the allied and soviet troops both spent decades trying to cover up this all.

The soviet union had the FSB actively monitoring, censoring, arresting, torturing and killing anyone who was deemed a risk to the party or leadership. The only thing that ended this was the soviet unions collapse. Millions died in the starvation in the end.

We can even look at the history of the USA where we fought off British rule/tyranny. Where troops were actively stationed in peoples houses, businesses, religious institutions, etc and searching through peoples belongings, listening to private conversations, etc to spy on colonial citizens constantly. It took the revolutionary war and potentially tens of thousands of deaths of citizens and troops just to win our freedom and rights back (and the population was relatively small back then).

NEW🚨: UK plans for social media age checks are stricter than many expected.
Ministers intend to require platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, Facebook and X to use “hard” verification for new accounts from spring 2027.

Acceptable methods include passport or driving-licence upload, credit checks or facial age estimation.

The aim is to enforce a ban on under-16s after lighter checks elsewhere proved easy to bypass.

Long-standing accounts that already have a credit card attached or prior age verification may be treated as lower risk and avoid fresh checks. New sign-ups will not.

The rules sit under the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Act 2026 and place the obligation on platforms rather than creating a single government social-media ID database.

The practical effect is that anonymous or lightly verified account creation becomes much harder in the UK.

Privacy groups note the data-security risks of handing identity documents to platforms; supporters argue the checks are necessary to protect children.

VPNs remain an obvious workaround.

The music industry has asked the EU to add yt-dlp, an open source video downloader, to its Counterfeit and Piracy Watch List. IFPI's submission even names the volunteer developers who maintain it. It also wants Cloudflare, GoDaddy and Verisign on the list, because apparently the company running .com is now a piracy concern.

LaLiga has gone after NordVPN, ProtonVPN, ExpressVPN and Surfshark over affiliate blogs it never names or links to. A Spanish court already threw out its last attempt to fine NordVPN.
