Extension with Vanilla JS — a Reel Counter for Instagram.
Got the core detection and counting logic working, and learned a lot by debugging what actually happens on a real webpage.
23:07,
Tried a few approaches that failed, then figured out location.pathname + Set could track unique Reels. Also learned how to persist the data using localStorage, JSON.stringify() and JSON.parse().
Lots of trial and error, but it’s working now. 🚀

From doubting my first HTML tags to building a vanilla JS extension that counts reels by manipulating live DOMs... Screenshot shows the counter on the right—just a demo, not live yet.
tarted building a Reel Counter browser extension with Vanilla JS.
Today I learned how browser extensions use manifest.json and content scripts to interact with other webpages.
It’s a new layer of JavaScript for me.
Soon I’ll share the working version here.
Took my first step into LeetCode today.
The problems themselves weren't the hardest part - understanding what they were actually asking was.
Solved a few beginner problems and learned more about closures, callbacks, prototypes, forEach(), and accumulator logic along the way.
Today I learned how JavaScript .sort() works with a compareFn.
I practiced sorting issues by priority using a priority mapping and understood how:
negative → a before b
positive → b before a
0 → same order
Also learned to sort a copy instead of mutating the original React
It's important !
Hey guys, I am doing my BCA from a Tier 3 college, but I really want to focus only on coding. What do you think? Does the degree matter, or can I just build things and learn on my own?

Turned my messy React debugging notes into something I can actually understand.
Got stuck, broke things, rewrote the flow, and finally understood why storing derived data in state was causing so many problems.

Improving my React fundamentals 🧠
Today I focused on understanding, not just coding — working with state, controlled inputs, props, and component communication.

Built a small Issue Tracker to practice along the way.
Day by day. 🚀

Need some advice.
If you were learning React today, would you stop for a while and go deeper into JavaScript, or continue learning the React ecosystem?
What worked better for you?
Finished React Router today.
Built:
• Nested Routes
• Outlet
• Dynamic Routes (:id)
• useParams()
• 404 Page
I got stuck on nested routing, relative paths, and where child components should render. Fixing each mistake while building the project made everything click.
