Gemini wouldn’t even let me sell more than $3k of ZEC. Switched to @coinbase, sold everything at $600–$700, no headaches.
Then the twins @tyler @cameron pop up pumping ZEC at the top? And the platform shilling zcash?
Crypto needs regulation ASAP because some of these exchanges are out of control. Zcash might do fine or dump completely but Gemini needs to be regulated or simply shut down. Worst crypto platform tbh with absolute clowns running it

Donating helps offset capital gains. Whatever you donate is essentially removed from your taxable gains in the US. You’ll never hear people do this in other countries. Yes they sold $ZEC at the top

@cobie @CryptoCyberia @based16z Wdyt about the 2018 Zcash bug? It could have allowed people to mint undetectable ZEC, and I personally know folks who claim they abused it. It was patched later, but the risk was definitely there. These things never happened with $BTC during the build up

Privacy isn’t about math alone; it’s about crowd size. If only a handful of users or entities actually use shielded addresses, the anonymity set collapses in practice. Zcash needs wide, decentralized shielded adoption, especially from big players, or the shielded pool becomes statistically useless no matter how good the ZK proofs are. Currently $ZEC is very centralized
