And here’s the shocker: ₦1,000 once bought 50 litres of petrol. Today, it can’t even buy ONE! How did we get here? Watch the breakdown, then share your thoughts in the comments.

@AjirogheneElo@TrendingEx God bless you my brother. I keep saying it sowore will do worst than oshiomohle.. you could see how he couldn’t answer the question.
“You live abroad, where things are working, yet you’re campaigning for this government. God will p¥nish you.”
— Apostle Michael Olowookere calls out Nigerians living abroad who are campaigning for the APC.
This man has presidential powers. If he says fuel should be sold for ₦300 per litre, believe me, no fuel station would dare to do otherwise if the government puts the right measures in place.
And believe me, the hardship Nigerians are facing would reduce significantly if fuel prices came down and the reduction reflected in the cost of transportation and food.
These are two of the biggest things affecting the lives of ordinary Nigerians. When transportation becomes expensive, the cost of moving goods increases. When the cost of moving goods increases, food prices go up. At the end of the day, it is the ordinary Nigerian who suffers.
How do you expect someone earning ₦50,000 monthly to survive in an economy where almost everything keeps getting more expensive?
The question is, if the government has the power to influence these things through policies and decisive action, why must Nigerians continue to suffer this much?
A government should not only have the power to govern; it should use that power to make life easier for the people.
Ever since I came across this guy’s page on TikTok, I’ve been paying more attention to the abnormalities happening in Nigeria and how things are in other countries.
Everything is going up. The cost of living is unbearable. Things that people could afford before have become luxuries. And I can boldly tell you that there are still people earning as low as ₦50,000 monthly. How exactly are these people supposed to survive? How do you expect someone earning ₦50k to feed, transport themselves, pay bills, and still take care of other responsibilities in this economy?
What pains me the most is that, despite all these hardships, some people will still come out to defend this administration. Honestly, I don’t understand it.
Then someone will come out and say that because Tinubu is Yoruba, it is the turn of the Yoruba people, and they must finish their turn. What nonsense is that? So because someone comes from your tribe, you should watch Nigerians suffer and still defend him? Is tribalism now more important than the lives and welfare of the people?
I’m unapologetic about this: some people are so blinded by tribalism and political loyalty that they no longer care about what ordinary Nigerians are going through.
People are struggling. Families are finding it difficult to survive. People wake up every day worried about what they will eat and how they will meet their basic needs. Yet, some people are more concerned about defending politicians than demanding accountability from them.
It’s painful. It’s frustrating. And honestly, sometimes I wonder whether we have lost our sense of reasoning as a people.
Nigeria belongs to all of us, not one tribe or one political party. If a government is making life unbearable for the people, we should have the courage to say so, regardless of who is in power or where they come from.
I am tired of seeing people defend what is clearly hurting ordinary Nigerians. I am tired of tribalism being used as an excuse to justify suffering.
At what point will we put our differences aside and demand better for ourselves? At what point will the suffering of the average Nigerian matter more than the political interests of a few?
@NigeriaStories This alone will show you how brainless some Nigerians are. Taking a loan to support his re-election. Get this into your head: there are more Nigerians like this. Sometimes, I come to the conclusion that we deserve what we are going through.
@instablog9ja@AKPUISI_77 I hope you can see that he knows what he is doing. He knows the hardship he has inflicted on Nigerians, yet some people will still be defending him.
@yabaleftonline It’s not enough to come out and cry. Let us get our PVC and vote wisely. Imagine if this government returns for a second term. This one we are crying, people will be committing suicide.
“If I see any of you at Onitsha Head Bridge celebrating that you maintained a 1950s bridge for the South-East, Holy Ghost will kpaiii you there. This country has no conscience. If you see the way the government is showing this bridge everywhere on the internet, you will think it is a newly constructed bridge, without knowing that it is a bridge built years ago. Imagine someone celebrating his car that he parked for over 50 years after repainting it.”
— Pastor Odumeje bl@sts government over celebration of Onitsha Head Bridge
