My fraternity might be leading this movement but it is much more than being our fight. It should be the fight of everyone with a conscience whoโs a part of this community. Wake up, have a backbone and take a stand.
Demand justice & demand it rn.

Why is the injustice met to a female resident doctor suddenly a โdoctorsโ issueโ and not the concern of the entire society? Itโs disheartening to see how the fight is only being led by the medical fraternity while no one cares to talk about the horror we are living through.

Are we supposed to ignore the fact that the dignity of an on call doctor was taken from her before brutally murdering her and thereโs no uproar because it suddenly becomes a movement led by the medical fraternity?
Itโs strange to see people be mute at such times.

From facing โcasualโ workplace harassment to being sexualised for fun on call conversations amongst colleagues, & being called unsporting/ feminazi if you stand up against either, the issues are deep rooted & highly unaddressed.
It is beyond disheartening to see how a doctor is not safe even in her own hospital. The fact that sheโs an alumni and that the incident took place in our state only adds to the horror of being an intern in this place, day and time.
#RGKARMCH#Westbengal#safetyfordoctors
The fact that the entire nation is not outraged and in uproar is nothing but just a further proof of how no one cares about the security of doctors at their workplace in this country.
Promises are made, doctors are sacrificed. For spending their time saving lives.
From having outraged patient parties shout at us while we try to search for guards who will control the mob to sleeping in on call rooms without proper locks or exclusion from stranger access.
